It’s been a little while since I’ve updated this journal, which is stupid, because I haven’t been that busy. (Okay, so that last part was a lie.) Between summer school and other things, I haven’t exactly had all the free time I’ve wanted. Oh well.
So anyway. Math sucks. What else is new? Sorry to anyone out there who likes math or gets a kick out of it, but it’s quite hard for me, especially after a year and a half away. I loved that break from my least favorite subject, but I’m kind of regretting it now. Makes it a lot harder to remember things. The homework load has also increased, which sucks big time. Guess that comes with the territory though.
I’ve been writing a fair amount, though not as much as I did before visiting my family. Still, it’s nice to keep churning out the material. I really want to move on and work on my next great idea–kidding, I promise–but I swore to myself I would finish this one first. With any luck I’ll be mostly done by the time the summer ends. That would make me quite happy.
I have also recently acquired an acoustic guitar, which I am very excited to re-learn. (I knew the fundamentals and a few songs in junior high, and am extremely grateful to my grandparents for their gift.) I’ve been playing a little every day, mostly just learning major and minor chords. Progress is happening slowly, but it is happening.
All in all, it looks like July will be a more eventful month than June, at least in terms of seeing people and doing things. Expect some form of updates when those things actually happen.
Ditto on the math bit. I’m not bad at it, but I don’t exactly enjoy it.
Writing is good = D And so is guitar! Sweetness.
