So, here’s how the two events I was crowing about in my last entry went down.
Humans vs. Zombies:
I stayed human until–wait for it–Tuesday. Morning. Pretty pathetic, huh? A girl got me as I was on my way to my first class, when I was looking for people on my other side. On the plus side, I got home and the two roomies–also playing–had both been zombified that day too. Bad luck. ended up making a kill on her first day, but no more after that. never made a kill, and I got "fed" by another zombie on Wednesday. The two above roomies "died" on Thursday. I died on Friday nine hours before the game ended.
Craziness. It was fun, but by the end I was pretty damn worn out.
Anyway, NaNoWriMo.
I’m actually a couple hundred words ahead on Nano, but otherwise pretty much on track. I’m not enjoying this story, titled Best Intentions, as much as I’m enjoying last year’s novel, but I’ll have to see how it goes when things start going bad for the characters. I write dark and angry better than I do light and happy. I’ve been making future plot notes and things I’m going to need to edit when I do go back and edit.
At any rate, I’m doing okay, and managing to stay afloat, never mind the fact that I have five essays due in two days next week. Argh. Blargh.
But yeah, that’s how that’s going. I’ll probably post further updates on this latest novel assuming I actually have time with all these damn essays. Schoolwork never ends.
