News on the NaNoWriMo front:
I did manage to win. It was definitely NOT pretty, and I’m definitely NOT going back to the story now that I have my 50,000 words completed, but at least I can say that I have won successfully two out of two years in a row. What can I say? I am horribly vain about completing things I start, even if they’re writing challenges which will forever remain unfinished.
As of now I’m back to working on rewriting/editing The Recruited, and rewriting The Lost. I’m over halfway through the rewriting phase, and probably about a third of the way through The Lost. Now that I’m not devoting my daily word count to a novel I have no intention of finishing, I should be a lot more productive. Huzzah!
In the meantime, I also need to revise my query letter, so that when I am finally freaking ready to send this novel out into the world, I will have a pitch that doesn’t suck. In other words, I’ll be staying plenty busy.
Thanks to those of you who listened to me talk about Nano the whole goddamn month! You guys rock!
